KiwiRoo Community Guidelines & Platform Use.

These comprehensive guidelines ensure KiwiRoo remains a legally compliant, respectful, and empowering environment for all users. Whether you are a teen user, parent, or job poster, it is your responsibility to understand and follow these standards in accordance with Australian laws, including child protection, youth employment, anti-discrimination, privacy, and financial compliance regulations.

These guidelines will continue to evolve as KiwiRoo grows and adapts to what's best for our community. We take breaches seriously and may take action to remove content, restrict accounts, forfeit payments, or refer serious violations to authorities. All users must cooperate promptly with the KiwiRoo Support Team when contacted for investigation or clarification.

Key Platform Expectations for All Users.

Prohibited Behaviour

Harassment, hate speech, racism, sexism, bullying, or any form of abuse
Threatening language, intimidation, or coercion (including reviews used as blackmail)
Fraudulent or misleading activity including impersonation, fake profiles, falsified reviews, or task misrepresentation
Sharing or requesting personal information prior to job acceptance
Attempts to transact, solicit or move jobs outside of KiwiRoo's secure system ('off-platform activity')
Any behaviour that violates Australian workplace, child safety, anti-discrimination or privacy laws

Privacy and Data Protection

You must never post or request private details (e.g. phone numbers, emails, social media links, addresses) in job listings, profiles, or public comments
KiwiRoo complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and all user data is protected in accordance with Australian data privacy standards

Posting & Task Integrity

All jobs must be lawful, clearly described, and appropriate for users aged 15-17
You must not post adult content, escort or personal care services, illegal goods, gambling, alcohol service, or unsafe labour
Task scope, pay, duration, location, and expected hours must be detailed honestly upfront
Users are not permitted to post 'bait and switch' jobs or post misleading categories to attract interest

Fair Pricing & Payments

All jobs must be fully priced. You cannot post partial, quote-based or commission-only offers
Cash, bank transfers, or off-platform payments are strictly forbidden
Payments are held in secure escrow and released only after job completion approval
A 10% KiwiRoo platform fee applies to all earnings. Repeated efforts to avoid this will result in suspension or account removal

One User, One Account

All users must maintain a single, verified account using their legal name and an identifiable profile photo
You may not operate or register multiple accounts, impersonate others, or lend your account to someone else
Duplicate or deceptive accounts will be banned without notice and all associated tasks forfeited

For Teens (Aged 15-17)

Eligibility & Safety

You must be 15 years or older to join KiwiRoo
You must not accept any job that has not been approved by your parent or guardian
Do not travel far distances or enter private spaces alone unless pre-approved by your guardian
Decline any job that feels unsafe or unclear, and report it to KiwiRoo immediately

Legal Work Boundaries

You are not allowed to: Operate machinery, work with dangerous tools, or lift heavy items Handle or sell alcohol, cigarettes, or other restricted items Work unsupervised after 7pm unless locally approved by your guardian
Comply with working hours and rest break laws in your state

Conduct and Communication

Use clear, respectful, and polite language with job posters
Do not share personal contact info, social media, or accept external messaging apps
Only communicate through the KiwiRoo platform until the job is complete

Earning & Profile Use

All jobs must be paid through KiwiRoo's escrow system
You may not ask for tips, bonuses or gifts outside of the payment system
Your profile must contain a current photo and your legal first name

For Parents & Guardians

Your Role & Responsibilities

You must verify your identity and remain the primary approver of every job your teen applies for
Discuss safety, time management, and refusal rights with your teen
Use the platform to track job history, messages, and earnings regularly

Legal Compliance

Know your local youth employment laws. In Victoria, for example, 15-year-olds may require a Child Employment Permit
Do not approve jobs that violate legal restrictions around hours, working conditions, or transport risks

Financial Supervision

Monitor payment history to help teach savings, tax awareness, and money management
Report concerns if your teen is underpaid or asked to take on extra duties without approval

For Job Posters

Job Requirements

You must verify your identity and comply with all platform and legal requirements
Only post tasks appropriate for supervised 15-17-year-olds
List clear expectations, duties, time, location, and full pay

Prohibited Jobs

You may not post jobs involving: Alcohol service or sales Babysitting, personal care, or sensitive physical tasks Lifting heavy loads or using tools not suitable for minors Late-night shifts without direct parental and KiwiRoo approval

Respectful Engagement

Treat teens professionally and kindly. They are still learning and are under the supervision of a parent
You may not contact teens directly without parental approval or request their private details
All messaging and payments must remain on the platform

Violations Include

Offering to increase pay off-platform
Asking for last-minute extra hours or responsibilities not listed originally
Cancelling and re-posting a task to avoid fees
Posting misleading roles or "fishing" for contacts

Reviews & Accountability

Leave honest reviews and help shape a positive KiwiRoo community
Teens and parents can review you too, and repeated negative feedback will lead to review investigation

Accountability & Enforcement

Breaches of these guidelines may result in:

Immediate removal of content or task offers
Platform restrictions, financial forfeitures, or suspension
Permanent account bans
Referral to authorities where laws are broken (e.g. underage exploitation, harassment, financial fraud)

All users are subject to monitoring, random reviews, and investigation if flagged.
